John Rutter sends a message to choirs of the London Choral Competition 2027

John Rutter, the British composer and conductor whose carols, anthems and Requiem are sung by choirs on every continent, has recorded a personal video message for the choirs of the London Choral Competition 2027 - Sing for the Crown!
"Choral competitions have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I love them. There's something about them that brings out the best in every choir, and there's a new and exciting one coming along, the London International Choral Competition."
Few names mean more to choral singers. His music has been performed at royal occasions, in cathedrals and village halls alike, and is part of the repertoire of children's, youth, chamber, mixed and senior choirs across the world.
Share the message with your singers and tag your choir - every share helps another choir discover the competition.
The London Choral Competition 2027 takes place in London from 14 to 17 July 2027, at the Royal College of Music (Britten Theatre and Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall) and The Actors' Church in Covent Garden. Choirs compete before an international jury, and the conductor of the Grand Prix winning choir receives the London Choral Crown.
